Eurasia International University (EIU) is a private and accredited institution of higher education in Armenia, headquartered in Yerevan. This year we celebrated the 15th anniversary of the university on March 13. Since 2004, EIU transitioned to the credit model which made the instruction fully compatible with the European Higher Education Area Standards and Bologna Agreement. EIU has instituted effective quality assurance system to deliver high quality education at graduate and undergraduate levels in Law, Management, and Foreign Languages. EIU realizes different collaborations both regionally and internationally. This year EIU started a double-degree MA program with Mykolas Romeris University in Lithuania. EIU has an atmosphere of free academic inquiry and critical and creative thinking for students and professors alike, which are essential for educating the leaders of tomorrow. The university offers a space for interchange, innovation, and skill-building, while advancing social values of high integrity and civic citizenship. The ultimate goal of the University is educating students, who can make a difference both locally and globally.

Departments

EIU has three departments: Faculty of Law, Management, and Foreign Languages. The Department of Law has different specializations among them: Civil Law, Criminal Law, International Law, Business Law, and Constitutional Law. The mission of the Department is to prepare legal practitioners empowered with specialized competences for meeting the demands of a rapidly changing environment of legal profession. The curriculum presents the combination of theory and practice by giving students an opportunity to build knowledge in domestic and international legal rules and procedures, and skills in legal research and analysis. The Department of Management strives to develop and follow up new approaches to teaching in the field of management, entrepreneurship, and finances aimed at contributing to the formation and development of students' managerial and entrepreneurship skills. The Department offers the following areas of studies: Human Resources Management, Business Management, Marketing, Banking, IT Management etc. The teaching methodology adopted by the lecturers of the Department is composed of a theoretical part, practical trainings and games, discussion, and research seminars. The Department of Foreign Languages is one of the three founding departments of EIU. Its main specializations are: Pedagogy, Philology, and Translation. The mission of the Department is to give students an opportunity to develop all the necessary competences in foreign languages as well as critical skills through analysis of literary heritage of other countries. Due to endeavors of the academic staff members, who strive to meet the need of students, the Department strives to fulfill that mission by pursuing the goals aimed at the training for the specialists, who have familiarity with a variety of linguistic principles of the target foreign language, demonstrate reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills, research a topic and make informed judgments, respect cultural diversity.

Housing

EIU offers a very cozy hostel to welcome foreign guests and exchange students, visiting professors, and part-time students. The maximum number of rooms is 27. We suggest single-unit, two and three-unit rooms. There is WiFi Internet in all rooms. All rooms are furnished with all the necessary utensils. Educational reform

Realizing the necessity of educational reform in the Republic of Armenia, EIU has started its integration into the European Higher Education Area by providing Bologna Process-compliant curricula and educational methodology, as the first Armenian university to join the process.
